I am back with an updated review, since the last time I left one was a few years back. As you can see, my rating hasn't changed. 5 stars all the way! Advanced 2000 has become a staple for our family and as the years have gone by a solution to more than just our personal computers and laptops. They have done networking jobs at our house, set us up with clouding, etc.

In this day and age genuinely good help is hard to find in the tech industry, but luckily you won't have to look any further! Advanced 2000 has grown a lot over the years and expanded into clouding and service management, etc. which, if you are a business owner, you'll appreciate. Both my dentist and doctor (who is located in Tysons) are customers here, just to give you an idea. Great service provided by great people at great prices. check them out!

The best IT people that anyone can ask for in VA area! They are always there when I need help with a major or little problem. From cloud servers to my printer not working they are reasonable and reliable.

They are fast, fix whatever is required at a reasonable price and are very reliable. I am very pleased with their service.

Computer died and I desperately needed a repair. I lucked out by finding this place. I called ahead, asked about their repair policy, and brought in my computer. Pricing was very fair. They worked on my computer immediately, and were great about giving me updates. They were also honest and upfront about which repairs would make sense versus ones that would be so expensive that they would recommend just getting a new lap top instead. I felt very well taken care of, and as luck would have it, they were able to repair the laptop! TLDR; awesome customer service, fair pricing, all around great experience!

Excellent service today, as usual. None better. The technician who came from Advnaced today was someone new but he was careful, knowledgeable, and solved the problem I needed to be solved. Advanced Computer 2000 has always been this way. They should change their name to Advanced Computer 2020, becuase they are ahead of their time. I have called on them for years and will continue doing so.

This computer shop is the best anywhere hands down. I highly recommend the place for its knowledge friendly service. If anyone can rescue you they can!

Honest, knowledgeable techies. My go-to computer and technology people. If they don't know the answer to a tech question, they will research the answer and get it for you. Never worried that I am being overcharged. Have bought and had computers repaired by them for 7 years. No one better, in my opinion. They can also come to you for network setup. Just love them.

I pass by daily in front of their store but never bothered to go in. A couple days ago my computer would not start so i dropped it off the next morning on my way to work. The place is nice, the clerk was attentive and although he said it may take up to 2-3 days to get my computer back, I received a call from them the same afternoon just as I was getting ready to head home. They fixed my problem and the computer was ready to be picked up. Thank you for a job well done.

These guys are truly skilled techies (my highest compliment). Over the years, I have sent my own laptops for repair (when possible), contracted cabling, Windows 2003/2008 server build (multiple times), home and work wireless, etc. No empty promises. I have been going to them for 15 years and they do excellent work.

I needed a power supply for my work/school/gaming computer. Since I use it so much, waiting for a new one in the mail was not an option, so I yelped computer places in my area. I looked at a few but none really had hardware, or helpful staff. Then just when i started to lose hope, I found this place. They had a few power supplies sitting on the self, with an option for ordering.

The prices were shockingly comparable to the internet wholesalers, and they staff was very interesting to talk to. I build my own computers and they were asking all about mine, which is kind of like being a car guy and someone checking out your car and asking all sorts of questions. It was a pleasant experience and I had a high level of customer satisfaction from the prices and staff.

Love these guys! Always on point and you can't beat their prices. Seriously some of the best tech guys out there. I've been a customer for years now and have gone to them for everything, including data recovery, repair, updates, and parts to a custom laptop. I recommend them to all of my friends and family members. Go check them out!

I have shopped at this place since they first opened back in the 90's. The place used to be very small, until they expanded it. The owner and employees are really nice and knowledgeable with computer technology, so if you need help with anything such as upgrades, they will know exactly what you need. They always have great deals and the price is competitively matched or better than online prices. If you want great deals without having to wait when you order online through other places, then come on by. It is a hidden gem!

I love Advanced 2000. They are so much better and more caring than the other big stores that do not help you. Advanced 2000 truly helps you fix your computer, helps you pick the right product, and customizes to your needs. I can't ask for any better place than that. I feel safe and comfortable taking my PC and laptop there for updates, virus scans, or any other repair. I would definitely advise them to anyone. They are local and right off 395. Happy shopping! Like other small retailers, Advanced 2000 is not competitive on computer hardware and software, at least as compared to Amazon or Micro Center in Fairfax. What's more, their website is not well organized or user friendly. But as far as service is concerned they are very competitive and skilled in all of the networking and hardware troubleshooting jobs I have used them for and their pricing is reasonable.

I've used these guys in the past to fix/troubleshoot one laptop and two desktop computers. I found the service to be reliable and reasonably fast. I especially appreciated the fact that they didn't try to gouge me (quote more hours than necessary to do the work) or push any unnecessary add on business.

So, I've kept Advanced 2000 in my pocket for like 5 years :( Not good news for Advanced business, but great for mine :) Advanced2000 has always supported me and had great prices; I always get great customer service - especially from MJ. I can't say enough about how much stuff I've bought here. I've bought, probably over 6 laptops (not including referrals), a dozen hard drives, 5 or so CD/DVD/Blu Rays, as well as every component (or any type of cable for that matter there is.

They stand behind what you buy, and I've taken a few things back like a broken SATA cable and was never fought over it; they immediately just changed it out. I've never had a problem with any laptops; nor have my friends, colleagues. They are honest and up-front with you. I've never had an issue. For those going over there: I would recommend ask questions, they do have stuff on the floor but always ask about upgrading it, getting more RAM for a laptop, etc. they DO this stuff all the time!

The one down-side I would say (or maybe two, but one is more a downside and one is a enhancement I'd like them to make) - (are) 1) They do have a lot of turnover of products; so if you're looking for a laptop or desktop, go in often and shop around. From week-to-week you'll find different deals, offers and things. They never kind of know what they'll get or what deals they may get from time-to-time. 2) (this is the enhancement one) - I wish they would get products in that are "more up to date".

I think for most of their laptops, workstations, even servers - they have stuff that is not out of date by a few months (which is how they deal, fine) but if a "new cable" or "new hard drive" or "new xxxxx" comes on the market; they don't get it for quite some time. I don't work there, and I have been shopping there for 6+ years so - this is not a "owner posting".I'm a real person who works on peoples stuff and have used Advanced to buy parts and use a slight mark-up to the person for work. Very happy with the service I have received over the past decade plus. Prices are not too bad when you factor in shipping from most online retailers. If you setup a business account with them you usually get a pretty good discount. All in all a great place to go when you can't wait for parts and need real technically proficient geeks to fix your machine.

We Cuisinettes spent a long time with grumpy geeks so our experiences with Advanced 2000 have been very positive. They get us the equipment, they try to save us money, they respond as quickly as possible. They don't laugh at us when we ask silly tech questions. So for us they get smoochy geek award.

Advanced 2000 is a good last resort for computer parts you need immediately. If you can wait to order something online from the likes of a NewEgg.com, you should wait. The prices and selection will be much better. That being said, they do carry a number of specific upgrade items you'll be hard pressed to find locally. You can find a good variety of motherboards, video cards, performance RAM, CPUs, monitors, and hard drives here.

Their selection exceeds that of any major box store including Micro Center, CompUSA, and Best Buy. It's a mixed bag when it comes to customer service. I've occassionally had the helpful rep, but usually the service is nothing to write home about.

A smallish warehouse retail store, this reseller has some fairly basic equipment should you need a quick fix for a computer problem. Power supplies, CPUs, cables, motherboards, HDD, DVDs, etc all available in their parts department - as well as all up turnkey systems. Their prices aren't bad, but you'll pay more than you will online - because frankly, they are running a storefront. Still, they have pretty good stocks of wares and can offer most main stream stuff out of their available stocks.
