Data Recovery
Report
Data Recovery Data Recovery is the process of attempting to retrieve data from a failed or crashed hard drive. Sometimes laptops are dropped which causes a mechanical failure. Also, a power outage can crash a desktop hard drive. Even the storing of too much data can fill a hard drive so close to its capacity that the system loses track of where all the pieces of a file are stored.
Virus Removal
Report
Virus Removal A computer virus is a software program that spreads from one computer to another computer and interferes with a computer's normal operation. It can corrupt or delete files and may attempt to spread itself to other computers via your electronic address book (which can really upset your friends and family). The bad behavior of these programs places them in a category known as malware rather than software.

Made my stepdad's tax work desktop faster for a reasonable and fair price. Even added Windows 10 & MS office free of charge. Thanks Jerry and The Computer Store. Note: the photo is before cleaning!

This place has some really nice people working in it. I sent my wife in to price a tube of thermal past. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and honest when it came to helping my wife who done not know a thing about computers or there components. After getting the price my wife called me and told me I told her to tell him thank you and to leave.

On the way out he asked my wife why I told her not to get it. I had said that the price was very fair, but unfortunatly I could not afford it. Then the guy unexpectedly gave my wife a one time use tube for free. This is not why I am recomending them. I do so because of the true honesty they showed aswell as a passion to just want to help. I had a $3500 rig I needed to finish and they really came through for me. So thankyou to the the man that helped my wife aswell as the owner of the place for having great help.

My Dell laptop needed a new hard drive (of course the computer had just fallen out of the warranty)! I took my laptop here to have the laptop diagnosed and potentially fixed. The diagnosis was free, and within 1 business day, I was called and was told exactly what was wrong, as well as how much it would cost them to fix it. I liked the price; another business day later, and my computer was fixed (with a better than original part). This was all done for around $80 less than the Geeks at a famous brick and mortar store! I could not be more pleased! They have become my go to place for computer issues!

I took my Mac in and I knew in the back of my mind that the hard drive was a goner. It was confirmed and Jerry put in a new hard drive for me and it runs like new. Great customer service! He took the time to walk me through the new OS that was installed. The cost to fix it was great and I feel they went above and beyond on their service. I will definitely recommend them in the future. Thanks guys! Geri (With a "G")

I'm also a PC tech in this area, I'm literally the competition, but I still bring business to these guys. They are trustworthy, if I have no openings in my schedule and a customer needs a rush job, I recommend these guys, if I don't have a part on hand and a job needs to be completed same day, I buy from them. It's been 10 years and I still find myself preferring to give them the recommendation when I can't take something on.

Anyone claiming they are anything but open, friendly, and honest is a fake review posted by the competition. I respect them as fellow techs, I've seen how they operate, I've shared a few customers with them, and I've never seen anything but stand up fair business from them. I care about my customers, reputation is everything in this industry, and the fact is I trust them to take care of my customers when I am booked solid.

Not only did they run a misleading and to many customers a frightening "report" without emptying the browser cache (which is not a sign of integrity), but returned the computer after its "free diagnostics" in worse condition than when it was taken in. When contacted about these obvious errors, they were very rude and refused to listen to feedback without yelling and constant interruptions.

To say were testing them would be honest. The laptop was intentionally taken to them by a woman with little technical competence to see how they treat naive users. The laptop required a keyboard replacement, one screw, and a standard browser cache emptying with an onboard Windows "scan disk" run. Their diagnostic results and unnecessary actions were inappropriate, as were their statements to the "naive woman".

Their conversations were all recorded as I am hearing impaired. They gave her repeated valuations of the laptop, what was wrong, varying costs to repair and then denied it all. The "telephone complaint" intentionally included references to work they had not done, which they latched onto while ignoring their own questionable actions. My simulation of an irate customer (many customers are frustrated and extensive training is done in this industry to ensure they are not treated the way I was) showed their horrific customer service and their technical errors combined with the false belief that they know it all and are up to date with computers.

We all know that the worst belief for any technical person (based on the speed of technology) is to think they "know it all". They repeatedly were proud that they did not do Windows 10 upgrades, which is a user activity! Beware! The Windows 10 upgrade changes file conditions and your decision to downgrade back from Windows 10 to your previous operating system (Windows 7, Windows 8) must be made within 30 days of the upgrade and in the interim leaves unusual files in reports which apparently they are unable to recognize.

They could remove the files you need to rollback Windows 10 (and blame it on you). They sounded very disinterested it learning what may become the most common Windows User Operating System in a short time. The "free diagnostics" on this keyboard did not include a check of its operation using the HP keyboard diagnostics nor any other check neither before nor after after they blew it out (they were told it was sand which containing metals) so an ungrounded blow out was a very bad idea).

When taken to the shop, 5-7 keys didn't function - when returned more than 25% of the keys did not work including the spacebar! When asked why the "naive user" was told it would take 90 minutes to reassemble the HP because the hard drive had been "removed to be tested" I almost choked (many users know that diagnostics have not required removal for years and newer laptop drives are easily removed with 4 screws from the bottom).

No testing of the drive using HP diagnostics was done (it had passed all diagnostics before it was taken to them). They were asked ONLY to check the keyboard and used no testing software for drives or keyboards (available for decades) and is also provided by HP. Not only was there no need to remove the hard drive, but the PC was returned with basic scan disk errors caught and repaired by most users using any of the included diagnostics provided by Windows, HP/Compaq, and lots of free software.

If the hard drive was removed ungrounded, it could be seriously damaged, so why did they remove the hard drive for a keyboard failure? They refused to answer. They repeatedly blamed the woman who had brought the laptop in for the reasons they did the things they did! (They even called her and left a very abusive message.) Customers are NOT expected to know how to repair the machine. Does a car mechanic need your directions to repair your car?

A doctor need you to identify kidney failure? After two told me I didn't know what I was talking about, I remarked that I may have more experience than all three to which I was told "I doubt that - we have 25 years". (I started in the field in 1968, so I have 47 years.) After teaching over 2,000 engineers of varying levels of competence and working with Xerox Parc in the Silicon Valley to develop expert systems and other software, I am confident in my assessment of repair techs and caution you due to the attitudes and what sounds like too many technical errors.

I am filing complaints with both HP/Compaq and Microsoft with technical specifics. I discourage anyone in the Inland Empire from dealing with this company. Since they deny they ever make a mistake they do not learn from their mistakes. They do damage and do not accept responsibility. Their refusal to professionally approach a customer with a complaint should warn you how they'll deal with you if there is a problem. They fail in very basic customer service and still call women "honey" which tells you what they really think of customers. Avoid!

For a while, a Dell XPS 210 (2007, WinXP) had problems starting. The start button needed to be pressed multiple times before it'd boot up. It got to where it was kept on 24/7. After a scheduled power outage, it wouldn't start at all. Thinking power supply, I replaced it and no fix. I thought it must be the motherboard, but I can't work on electronics like I used to.

I took it in on a Monday morning. Jerry gave it a quick look and showed me how I had blown capacitors on the board. (I'm glad they didn't burst.) Mike diagnosed it on Wednesday and confirmed the motherboard. He gave me the option of supplying my own or having them order one. I asked them to and they ordered it. I had the computer back by the next Tuesday.

And the price was very reasonable, indeed! They also replaced the fan at no charge. Jerry showed how the old fan case was so dry it was almost disintegrating. The computer was connected to a monitor and everything looked good. It's been running better than ever and I'm so glad I took it to Advanced Computer Group.

Our Dell desktop computer started to make some odd noices lately so I searched yelp.com and noticed Advanced Computer Group had a few ratings, all of which were excellent, so I brought our computer to them. I was told by Jerry it could take a few days for them to get to it and diagnose it which sounded reasonable but by the time we got home after dropping it off they already called us to tell us it was a bad fan on a video card which was causing the noise.

I had them replace the card and picked the computer up today. The computer is running fine and no more noise! They were obviously very quick and did a good job. I realize they cannot always fix computers so quickly and I know I was fortunate they were able to get to it so quickly but I have to say I have never had a computer repair done so quickly by any company. Also, their price seemed to be very reasonable. I plan on using this company again the next time we have a computer problem. Jerry, Bo and Mike there are all nice people.
