They truly care about their customers and want to make sure that the customers there are happy and satisfied. I am one of the many people ( based on the reviews and Yelp ratings) that can say that I am 100% satisfied with the work and the products received here at Castro Computer's. Another thing you need to know about is its a small shop on Valencia Street.
Which means you can drive right by it. So keep you're eyes open for the neon lights with the stores name on it. Also you're going to have to use street parking, so make sure you get there early in order to get a space.

They are good when you can get them. We've had good service in the past for computer transfers and some IT sleuthing, but responsiveness has gone way down. Emails go unanswered for days and days. It would be fine if I had to wait in a queue, but it's the uncertainty of knowing when I might hear back that's frustrating.

They have always done great work on our computers, and their staff can actually communicate about computer issues in terms a non-computer person can understand. They're pretty competent at what they do. One of the best things about them: low-key, no b.s., and not pushy in the slightest. I would agree that their responsiveness via email can be spotty, but when I call they will always take the time to listen to the problem and provide a thoughtful diagnosis, and a straight-up estimate. You don't get those things at a lot of places.
