Data Recovery
Report
Your computer networks are likely filled with important documents, emails, and many other files. But what would happen if all of that data disappeared due to a power surge, virus, or simply one wrong click? If you do not have a proper backup system in place, it could take days or weeks to replace everything that was lost. If you have a mandatory report to complete for school or work, important files, or just personal memories like pictures on your computer, losing them can create a tremendous headache. Getting all of that back could be an even bigger nightmare, and we want to help you make sure it does not happen again in the future.
Server Installation
Report
You might consider the computer server as the nerve center of any workplace, technically speaking. That is because the word server actually refers to a number of computer resources such as email and operating systems, not to mention various files, and processes like printing. Most businesses rely on computers and servers to keep the company on track.

These servers are extremely delicate and not only susceptible to viruses and malware, but also overheating, which could also cause a server crash or extensive damage. This could tremendously hurt your bottom line, as a crippled computer system can hinder productivity. If this were to go on, you could end up losing customers, which obviously no company wants to see.

We used them a year ago to help us transfer data. Problems getting tech to show. When he finally came, he worked intently for some time. After they left we discovered that the data was not transferable to begin with. They were not able to do what we requested and messed up our computer. The tech asked that we sign the invoice showing hours worked. Turns out in the fine print that it says that if we agreed verbally on the phone to a long term contract (which we never did), there will be recurring charges.

We got a call from India yesterday from them saying it was time to update our computer. We said we would never use them again. At about 3am they withdrew $199 from our bank account. We are now going to battle to get our money back. In my opinion this is a total scam.

Charged my 85 year old father $210. Tech no showed 3 times. Someone finally came, tapped the walls, looked around and said they would be back with another person. No show again. I completed the job. I tried getting refund, but I'm pretty sure that will never happen. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They made me pay $300 upfront for a tech to come out. The tech's name was Jonathan, a white male who talked as if he knew what he was doing. He made us spend almost $200 on equipment for my computer. He installed the 1st bit of equipment to increase the computer speed, and it did absolutely nothing. Then he never came back to finish the rest of the install, and I still have the other equipment, and ghosted us. This is very unprofessional on Geeks on Site as well as their techs. I would not recommend their services to anyone who needs computer work done.

Full Disclaimer: I worked for this company and quit after a month. I can't bring myself to take advantage of people. My moral-compass is not that skewed. Do NOT call them for service. There are other options. Plenty of other, CHEAPER, options. I don't think it was an accident or coincidence that their name closely resembles "Geek Squad".

And seeing as how their customer-base is largely elderly persons who can't immediately tell the difference, this company's intent is clear. They overcharge for basic tasks. They pretend not to understand the customer's service request. And they charge the customer for a 2 hour job that really only takes 30 minutes. The markup is RIDICULOUS. (Believe me, the Technician gets NONE of that money.).

There is absolutely no reason for a customer to pay a 200% markup on printer ink. It's unreasonable and predatory. And one last note. Geeks On Site say they're based in Florida. This is not true. This is a blatant lie. The company is based in Peru. So, if you've ever wondered. now you know.

Felt a bit sketchy when they asked for credit card info as any other place won't ask for such. But I did provide them with what was asked. The tech who came by did a fantastic job. Very helpful and fixed it in no time. They did postpone my appointment maybe twice and the third time I really thought I was screwed. They told me they wouldn't be able to make it I insisted I'd be home and I'd wait. To my surprise the Tech showed up like he said he would. Thank you for sending somebody(R.Brown) very knowledgeable. He deserves a raise

I've had issues with my desktop and they had always been able to solve them, I got the yearly service, you can call as many times, at least you call once a month and have a tune up perform

I used GoS before and the person who came to my house was able to let me know the problem and told me to order the part then he'd come back to install it when it arrives. I did and he did. Computer ran fine. He didn't even take long. I had 45 minutes of credit/time thats been paid for. So recently my cordless mouse usb piece is stuck in my usb port so it needs to be removed and then repaired.

Its an easy fix from what I've researched. I would rather ler a tevhnician do it and use my 45 minutes and just pay $30 for the home visit fee. I contacted GoS and explained the issue. The online person said they can do it and someone would call me "shortly". Hours later i get a call telling me they do t do that and that i have to grt a new computer for $1600.00 and that the technician would transfer all the info from my old to new without a problem. They'd have to fix my old one to get it to stay on to do this.

See where im going with this? In order to fix my usb port i would habe to pay $1600 plus $30 plus tax and more time to fix the old and set up the new. I contacted the technician that did the work before. Unfortunately he moved out of state but he tried helping me via phone. GoS is a total shady sketchy ripoff.

Do not use Geeksonsite! I needed emergency repair on my Mac and they promised next day service with their technicians. They warned me that if I cancelled I would have to pay a $100 cancellation fee. However, they cancelled on me THREE TIMES with only 15 minutes left on the two hour arrival window, citing last minute illness, being lost, or no reason at all.

I had asked if the Geeks are employees and I was assured that they were but clearly this is a national company with a fancy website that calls on local lists of hired guns when they have a customer from a certain area. Does anyone know of a reputable Mac technician in the Fairfield area?

Bear with me Got att&t but their technician is coming like in 4 days but I need someone now. I found Geeks on Site and ot says free diagnose. So I called and speak to them. They say they'll come the next day. All they ask was for my zip code, name, and phone. Then they'll have another person call me. Idk why. Well, they called me like 10 minutes after I called and I ask them how much it'll be.

They said 129 for something I can't hear him and 210 if they're their for 2 hrs. I ask if when they get here and have a look, can we decide if they can go ahead and fix it or not. Because if it's something small, I ain't paying that much. But the person said no. There's no free diagnose. But on the website it says FREE DIAGNOSE.

The person was probably shock because he asked if I am on the computer looking and o said no. Tf, I told him I search it up on my phone. That's how I found them. Duh right? And he's like, there's no free diagnose because they'll be on site. Red flag. I told them I'll talk to my husband about it because it isn't my decision too.

I told the person after afterwards. Att&t told me that for them it'll cost $99. Least than what Geek On Site wanted. No thanks. I'll wait. I feel like I dodge a bullet. On their website they also have reviews page for their business. All 5 to 4 stars. Red flags again. All I wanted to do was read 3-1 started to actually judge if people were just complaining or if they're actually shit. I'm glad I didn't go through with them. You can judge for yourself when you do your research.

This is now a call center based out of India. They were working on my computer today for what should have taken just a few moments, they said it would be a few hours and to go ahead with my day they would call me when finished. I left for about 10 minutes and came back to watch what the tech was doing and found him rooting around through bank statements, my photos, documents, and video folders which none of those folders had anything to do with a windows SmartScreen filter kept popping up every time I started my computer.

They seemed to be looking for credit card information as well. Stay away from these people they are actively trying to steal information off of peoples computers. If I had not come back early they might have gotten away with it but I terminated the remote log in. This company was registered as a Medford OR based company and that they would drive to peoples homes but quickly transferred to what sounded like a call center office party in the background.

I feel a tremendous obligation to warn everyone I know so that this doesn't happen to you or your loved ones. Most scams are coming out of India right now, it's been on the News and had I known this company was a India Call Center masquerading as a legitimate Oregon Business, which by the way the number and place I called was not called Geeks on site, I only found out their name after I had paid for the service. I will be filing fraud charges tomorrow morning.

Beware. Do not give out your credit card! This company is a scam. Better to find a local company or word of mouth recommendation.

I rarely ever leave bad reviews. This company is a bait and switch! The tech they sent out was a lovely young woman who admitted, eventually, that she wasn't someone who could solve the problem. We had waited a week for her to come and then never heard another word after that. We did not pay that company a dime. After learning that the techs were outside "contractors" - we did give something to the one who tried to fix the problem. Never use this company. Never!

This company gained remote access to my computer for a tune up. They were in there for hours. Next day I receive a notice from a Malware company they have charged my credit card $399 for a subscription. I never authorized this. Next day, I get another notice supposedly from McAfee with a charge for $499 for a renewal subscription. I don't have an account with them.

When I called the number to dispute the charge, they insisted they had to download a refund form via remote access. They got into my bank account. When I tried to end the session, the guy started yelling at me and kept canceling my attempts to shut down my computer. Geeks on Site apparently sold info obtained after trolling my computer to scammers.

I ended up closing my bank accounts after they gained access and cancelled my credit card after using it to pay these guys. Overall, terrible experience and want to warn others not to get taken.

Critical: Value Spoke with Michael over there and he stated for me to get someone to come here for diagnostics. would be free. but the driver going over there, $210 for the 2 hours. excuse me? I don't mind paying but that service isn't worth that amount of money.

Scam. Can only diagnose problem for $129. Then you'll go somewhere else and pay more money to fix. Save a step, go somewhere else.

I have never used this company, but I keep getting emails claiming my membership is expiring and threatening to bill me $159.99 for a service I never signed up for in the first place. All are signed by a contractor of this company named David Smith who lists his phone number as 205-216-5088 and his address as 1525 Walnut Street, Jackson, MS 39211.

The main business is located at 2525 Ponce de Leon, Floor 3, Coral Gables, FL 33134 and their phone number is 888-360-4335. Their contractor refuses to stop contacting me. They need to get in touch with their contractor and tell him to stop trying to bill people who aren't even their customers. I am filing complaints with both the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the New York Attorney General's office.

WORST COMPANY EVER. I called 3 times for a connectivity issue that was never resolved by them. Each time I called all they appeared to do was run virus and malware scans, finding nothing. Then proclaiming it fixed. I made the mistake of purchasing the year's subscription as well, WHICH WAS A BIG MISTAKE. Meanwhile, one call to Dell (my laptop's manufacturer)'s support, and the issue was fixed. And it was cheaper than the one time fee GEEKS ON SITE is charging! Wish I could get my $99 year's subscription back. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

I called and they jumped in immediately. They found no reason my computer was so slow and had connectivity issues. Meanwhile, it is still an issue, I really can't use my computer, so I'm wondering what I paid for? I guess I would have at least liked the advice of what to do if nothing was found. This was just not helpful.

I am writing this for my employee Their services were used one before, and everything was fine. Bought a service contract for close to $300. This entitled 24/7 service for a year. Was about to Skype into a news program for expert testimony. Search engine wouldn't work due to a computer update that didn't take. Called. I have a Mac, as the majority of people in the entertainment industry.

This person was obviously reading a manual trying to figure out what to do. He couldn't figure it out, admitting that he didn't know Macs. Transferred to another individual (Steven.). Steven picked up his manual and made the computer worse. Was asked to call back tomorrow. Explained the computer was needed for work and there was a service contract purchased to be able to obtain 24/7 service. Was told you were transferred to me!

He explained the person who knew Macs was not available. Explained again, the computer was required for work. Steven spoke to his 'supervisor' who said someone would call back in a half hour to fix the computer. The call, of course, never came. Was unable to Skype into the news program and my appearance was cancelled.

Absolute waste of money. Spent over an hour in our house only to tell us to go to Best Buy and tell them we need boosters for our Wifi. Did nothing to help us. Couldn't even recommend a type of booster or what to do with it once we purchased one. Will never use them again.

I have been a very satisficed customer for over a year. They are available 24/7 and have corrected any and all problems. AND they offer laptops etc. for sale at very competitive prices with free set up. I just bought a computer and the experience of purchase and set up was seamless.

I called Geeks on site last Thursday and scheduled a appointment for Friday for them to come look at our copier/scanner. Friday at 8 am to 10 am was the window. 10 came and passed and I called inquiring, only to be told the technician was delayed at another job. No worries, we rescheduled for today at 10 to noon. Well to my dissapointment, they never came. I called yet again, to cancel. Very unprofessional, no apology or even a phone call. if you're smart, you wont use their services.

Geeks on Site is a competent, helpful and excellent masters of taking care of your computer. Just call them and tell them you want a monthly tune-up or that you have a problem, and they will give you instructions on how to connect your computer to a service expert and they will tune-up or find and repair problem(s) with your computer. They stay on your computer for up to 5-7 hours running diagnostics, looking for problem(s) and fixing them.

It is well worth the $24.95 per month fee for the security of knowing that anytime for any reason they can log on to your computer and provide general monthly wellness or check out any problems you may have.

Geeks on Site gets a five star rating. Getting my computer up and running without taking it to a repair shop (if I could find one) is worth the yearly fee I've paid. The technicians are polite and patient and the service is excellent.

Called to fix a business phone network that has dropped one line. 2 hour service call ($228), supposedly checking out all the wiring. Told me it was the phone system switch box - to get a new one. Bought a new switch for $250 - installed - everything was the same. One line did not work. So, I started replacing the standard phone lines 1 by 1 to the switch.

One bad phone wire. Fixed. 10 minutes. They took 2 hours, did not check the wiring, and told me I needed a $250 switch that I did not need. So this service call cost me close to $500 for what was really a $5 fix. Called them to complain - Run Around. Hello VISA?

We had the technician to our home to install a printer, take care of some virus issues, recover files, etc. The technician was on time, worked competently and quickly we had plenty of time left on our estimated time slot, answered questions clearly and helpfully, plus gave us good advice for the future. We are geeks for life!

The tech showed up on time. He was efficient; made a determination about my problem and made a recommendation in plain English. It was a pleasure to work with a professional.
