Parks Computers was founded in Ocala, FL USA in August of 2000. We moved Parks Computers to Asheville, NC in August of 2003. Sheri (my wife) and I have started this company with one thing in mind; help people. I have been working in the technology field for more than 15 years. Currently I am Beta testing new products from Microsoft, Norton and Trend Micro to name a few, creating software, building and repairing personal computers and much more.

Computers are a great thing and when they run slow not because of problems but because of age let us help. A lot of times you don't need a new computer. An upgrade to your memory will help speed things up or a new hard drive will give you more space for you photos or new video game. Speaking of new video games will your computer play your new game? If not let us install a new video card and memory and let that game fly. Start enjoying your PC again.

Ryan and his staff provide great and knowledgeable service. I've purchased desktop and laptop with wonderful results. Most recently I had a problem with a vital (for my hobby) trusted software installation, and Ryan found the solution the same morning after I left it with him. I recommend this local business!

If you are looking for someone to 'save' you and fix any problems you may have with your computer, Parks Computers is the ONLY place you should go! I have been working with this company personally for 3 years and never have I been disappointed. Mr. Parks is at the top of the computer knowledge realm. And, if there are any additional items (software, monitors, etc.) needed, he is the one to see. Miracles? Yes.
Not only does Parks Computers work on my personal computer, but also on our church's computers, printers, sound system, and any and everything electronically driven. Sunrise Baptist Church has been associated with Mr. Parks for over 10 years and relies EXCLUSIVELY on him for all of our purchase needs as well. And no, I'm not receiving any discounts, etc. for this review. It's simply the truth.

Lots of people have their "go to" computer repair shop in Asheville, and though I live 45 minutes away mine is still Parks Computers. Ryan and his staff have always been courteous, respectful, fair, and fast no matter if it was the cracked monitor screen I dropped and needed to be replaced despite being out of warranty and several shipping mishaps, the timely repair I needed during the time of the Cornoa virus today, or the ongoing digital support offered through the interactive Parks System Upkeep tool.
I kind of don't want to leave this review for fear that others will swamp them with business and thus make any future work I need get delayed, but the juice is worth the squeeze here and I look forward to continuing to give them on the Lenova laptop I bought almost a decade ago. -=JR=-

Best computer repair and purchase experience I've ever had. Gage and Ryan built me an amazing computer based on my specific needs (business related use) and even saved me some money. They also will handle my repairs and warranty claims with HP. The icing on the cake was that Gage was able to get all of the data off of my fried hard drive and load it onto the new computer. I'll never go anyplace else for any computer related issue! Thanks so much guys!

I no longer live in Asheville, but Ryan has been my go-to guy for new computers, accessories, and repairs for 14 years. He's that good. -- Ryan knows his stuff and is up-to-date on all PCs, gadgets, trends, and cyber security issues -- He will tell you what you should do and should not do (and when I have not listened to him I have regretted it) -- He can remote-bot into your machine (with your permission) and fix most issues -- He'll take your failed machines / virus issues and fix, wipe, and reinstall for you -- His fixes are the most intuitive and more common-sense than the other guys -- He is a living history of what work you've had done, which is extremely helpful -- He truly has your best interests at heart -- He is completely trustworthy with computers and personal information

The Best IT Service Ever I have been working with Ryan Parks for more than 15 years, and he makes my business run. He is expert and skilled and can always figure out problems. When computers fail, I send my laptops back to him rather than work with a local provider. I have read the negative posts, and I disagree with the harsh assessments. Ryan runs his company like a business - extremely professionally, but works in a difficult industry.
People contact him when they are experiencing technology failures, which is obviously a stressful time as it compromises their work processes. However, it is unfair to slander Ryan due to having unreasonably high expectations. Your computers will die, both after several years of use or unexpectedly. You will have virus issues occasionally, and software will be difficult to figure out. Ryan is a miracle worker, but he can't save everything. He also books out with service calls and planned work, because he is excellent. If you have to wait for his time, it is 100% worth it.

While upgrading my iMac's hard drive to an SSD, I broke the display panel connector off the motherboard. The motherboard for this machine is $850 plus labor - pretty much a death sentence. I called all over town and no one was willing to even ATTEMPT to fix it, even though it only needed two tiny little spots soldered. Well, not exactly no one it turns out.
Even though it was almost closing time on a Saturday, he told me to bring it in and he'd have a look. He said he was pretty sure he could fix it but the motherboard would have to come out first, and quoted about 1.5 - 2 hours ($120-160). It took about a week (he had to order a special tip for his soldering iron!) but he called me as soon as the job was done with great news.
The motherboard did not have to come out after all so he only charged me $20 for the 15 minutes or so the repair actually took. I would have gladly paid much more and HE KNEW IT, but he just charged me for the actual time. Great guy and great business man. THIS is how you run a local business!
